Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Buzo ("we", "us", or "our"), the vector store quality and integrity platform operated from El Salvador. By creating an account, connecting a vector database, installing the buzo-sdk, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

1. The service

Buzo analyzes the contents of vector databases you connect (Pinecone, ChromaDB, pgvector, Qdrant, and other supported stores), detects data quality issues across a deterministic analysis pipeline and AI inspectors, and surfaces findings in a dashboard. Buzo also offers an optional SDK that mirrors retrieval and generation events from your AI agent to our backend for usage-weighted findings and attribution.

Human-gated writes. Buzo's scans are read-only. Every write that Buzo executes against your vector store — quarantine remove, restore, and sync-apply — only runs after you explicitly confirm the action with a typed keyword in the dashboard (REMOVE or APPLY). All such actions are reversible within a 30-day snapshot window and recorded in a SHA-256 hash chain audit trail.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by team members you invite. Notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access.

3. Plans, billing and usage

Buzo is offered under one or more subscription plans. Pricing is based on the number of vectors under coverage, the vector databases connected, and the volume of retrieval traces ingested. Specific limits, entitlements and fees are set out on the pricing page or in your order form.

• Subscription term. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
• Payment. Fees are charged in advance through our payment processor. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file for all amounts due.
• Overage. If your usage exceeds the limits of your plan, we may meter the excess at the rates published on the pricing page or pause non-essential workloads until you upgrade.
• Taxes. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, duties, or withholdings, which are your responsibility.
• Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Customer data and credentials

Customer Data means the data you provide to Buzo or that Buzo accesses on your behalf, including: (a) credentials for your vector stores; (b) vector embeddings, metadata and content read from your stores; (c) retrieval and generation traces sent through the SDK; and (d) information you input into the dashboard.

• Customer Data remains your property. You grant Buzo a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the service.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights and permissions to send Customer Data to Buzo, including under applicable privacy laws.
• You must not send Customer Data that you know contains regulated categories (e.g. payment card numbers, government identifiers, protected health information) unless we have agreed in writing to process them.
• Vector store credentials are encrypted at rest with AWS KMS and decrypted only at execution time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Buzo to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
• Use Buzo to generate, store, or distribute malware, phishing content, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Resell, sublicense, or use the service to provide a competing product.
• Probe, benchmark or load-test the service without our prior written consent.

6. Service changes and availability

We continuously improve Buzo and may add, modify, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable advance notice of material adverse changes that affect paid functionality. We strive to keep the service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows, third-party provider outages, and force majeure events may affect availability.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if (a) you breach these Terms, (b) your account becomes past due and is not cured within 14 days of notice, or (c) we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends and we will delete Customer Data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.

8. Intellectual property

Buzo and its underlying technology — including the analysis pipeline, AI inspectors, dashboard, SDK, documentation, and any improvements — are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You may submit feedback or suggestions about the service. You grant us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use feedback for any purpose.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Buzo is a quality and integrity tool. It surfaces findings and recommendations to help you make better decisions about your vector memory, but it does not guarantee that any particular content is safe, accurate, or fit for downstream use. You remain responsible for the content of your vector store and for any decisions you make based on Buzo's output, including whether to confirm a REMOVEor APPLY action.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the fees you paid to Buzo in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Buzo against any third-party claim arising from (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (b) Customer Data you send to Buzo, including claims that such data infringes the rights of a third party.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The courts of San Salvador, El Salvador shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the dashboard at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
